The David Rubenstein Treehouse in Boston, MA, is home to Archiving 2026. This brand-new building is located at the Enterprise Research Campus. Details on the exact location will be provided to attendees closer to the event.

For planning purposes, attendees may arrive at:

 

  • Logan International Airport (BOS) - Boston’s main airport, serves many domestic and international flights. From the airport, you can take MBTA services (subway, bus), the free airport-terminal “Silver Line” bus to downtown, taxis, ride-shares, or shuttle services — all convenient ways into the city.
  • Amtrak – South Station - Boston’s primary Amtrak (train) hub, serves: Northeast Regional (Washington, D.C. to Boston), Acela (High-speed service NYC to Boston), Lake Shore Limited (Chicago to Boston), and South Station also connects directly to the MBTA Red Line subway, buses, and the Silver Line to the airport.
  • MBTA Commuter Rail / Subway / Bus — The MBTA provides commuter rail service from surrounding cities and towns into Boston, along with subway and bus service within the city.

  • Student registration includes membership and an online subscription to JIST. Students are defined as full-time, through PhD.

BANK TRANSFERS: If you wish to use a bank transfer, a US$25 fee is added; please contact [email protected] to arrange.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:  To cover bank charges and processing fees, there is a cancellation fee of $100 until 22 June 2026. After that date, the cancellation fee is 50% of the total plus $100. No refunds will be given after 19 June 2026. Requests for a refund must be made in writing. In lieu of a refund, you may transfer the payment to another conference, product, or person by 19 June 2026.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY AUTHORS/PRESENTERS: To cover publication in the Digital Library, as well as bank and processing fees, there is a cancellation fee of $150 until 23 May 2025. After that date, the no show/cancellation fee is $500 per the copyright agreement. In lieu of a refund, you may transfer the payment to another conference, product, or person by 19 June 2026.

*Your paid registration signifies your agreement to be recorded (voice and/or video) in the course of normal business, such as during the Q&A portion of a live event. Recordings of live events may be made available for viewing by all paid registrants and may be used for IS&T promotional purposes.

As an international, professional organization with community members from across the globe, IS&T is committed to providing a respectful environment where discussions take place and ideas are shared without threat of belittlement, condescension, or harassment in any form. This applies to all interactions with the Society and its programs/events, whether in a formal conference session, in a social setting, or on-­‐line.

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, etc., as well as deliberate intimidation; stalking; harassing photography, recording, or postings; sustained disruption of talks or other events; inappropriate physical contact; and unwelcome sexual attention. Please note that the use of sexual language and/or imagery is never appropriate, including within conference talks, online exchanges, or the awarding of prizes. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

Those participating in IS&T activities who violate IS&T Code of Conduct/Anti-Harassment Policy or IS&T’s Publications Policy may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference and/or membership without a refund at the discretion of IS&T.
