2018 marks the 30th anniversary of IS&T International Symposium on Electronic Imaging. Over the course of these 30 years, many thousands of electronic imaging students, engaged in the myriad facets of imaging science and engineering, have enhanced their skills and launched their careers through the connections that have been made here.

EI 2018 promises to continue bringing together the world of imaging, with vital new topics that put electronic imaging at the forefront of 21st century technology development. You will learn about these new imaging applications, hear of the next challenges tackled on the frontiers of imaging science, and interact with renowned imaging scientists and pioneers from around the world. Symposium plenaries, short courses taught by the experts, conference keynotes, and informal gatherings allow you to tap into a smart, forward-thinking global community that will inspire and empower you.

For students and prospective employers, EI 2018 will offer Meet the Future: A Showcase of Student and Young Professionals Research. This 2nd annual event will bring invited students together with academic and industry representatives who may have opportunities to offer, and will provide each student with an opportunity to present and discuss their academic work via an interactive poster session. What you can expect at this year’s conference

Explore over 150 highly relevant sessions, led by some of the industry’s top experts. This year, we will again offer joint sessions on topics that cross over among the conferences – making the most of the synergies among our conferences.

Take short courses directly from the innovators. Students receive one short course of their choice - free with their early registration. 

Meet friends and future colleagues at the EI 2018 reception. Engage one-on-one with authors during the interactive poster session. Interact with imaging products hands-on during the demonstration session and see the latest image products at the Industry Exhibition.
