Register for Tours of Stanford University Labs

Stanford Computational Imaging Lab develops next-generation computational and display systems for applications in consumer electronics, microscopy, human-computer interaction, scientific imaging, health and remote sensing.

HANA Immersive Visualization Environment (HIVE) features a 10-foot-tall by a 24-feet-wide display with 13440x5400 resolution and 72 million total active pixels. Researchers may use multiple displays simultaneously to investigate various aspects of data collection, simulation, and visualization and to zoom in to see detail at previously unheard-of-levels.

Collaborative Haptics and Robotics in Medicine Lab (CHARM) design and study haptic systems for advanced robotic and human-machine systems with special focus on teleoperation, virtual environments, and robotic manipulation.

Virtual Human Interaction Lab (VHIL) uses empirical, behavioral science methodologies to study the dynamics and implications of interactions among people in immersive virtual reality simulations (VR) and other forms of human digital representation in media and communication systems.

Stanford Center for Cognitive and Neurobiological Imaging Center (CNI) develops state-of-the-art technologies for capturing, storing, analyzing and sharing magnetic resonance imaging data. They enable neuroscientists to make several types of functional and structural measurements of the living human brain.

Stanford Museums

Cantor Arts Center’s diverse collections span continents, cultures, and 5,000 years of art history and includes one of the largest presentations of Rodin bronzes outside Paris.

Anderson Collection contains one of the world’s most outstanding private assemblies of modern and contemporary American art.

Returning EI 2018 Events

EI 2018 includes social events such as the Women in Electronic Imaging gathering, demonstrations and exhibits showcasing electronic imaging products and services, and opportunities for students to meet with interested industry representatives.

Electronic Imaging Exhibition

Electronic Imaging attracts the world’s leading scientists, researchers, product and process design engineers, product developers, and system integrators in electronic imaging related fields. Showcase your products and services during the two-day exhibit, Tuesday, January 30, 10 am - 7:30 pm, and Wednesday, January 31, 10 am - 4 pm. Companies interested in exhibiting should contact Donna Smith at +1 703 642 9090; +1 703 642 9094 (fax); [email protected].

Demonstration Session

All EI authors are invited to participate in the annual Demonstration Session where they can showcase software programs, products, and hardware to all Electronic Imaging attendees during an evening program, Tuesday, January 30, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. There is no additional charge for participation assuming deadlines are met. Non-authors may also participate in the session for a space rental fee. For additional information, contact Ann McCarthy at +1 585 746 2763; [email protected].

Women in Electronic Imaging

The 4th Annual Women in Electronic Imaging event is planned for EI 2018. This event offers women at all levels of their career the opportunity to meet with other women working throughout the many facets of electronic imaging. Registration now open.  Download Form.

Meet the Future: A Showcase of Student and Young Professionals Research

This 2nd annual event will bring invited students together with academic and industry representatives who may have opportunities to offer, and will provide each student with an opportunity to present and discuss their academic work via an interactive poster session, Wednesday, January 31, at 5:30 pm - 7 pm. Students presenting at an EI 2018 conference or who have presented at another qualifying conference may apply . Industry representatives interested in sponsoring these selected student presentations should contact Ann McCarthy at +1 585 746 2763; [email protected].
